Introduction

International students who desire to prepare for the GCE ‘A’ Level examination can join this course which is especially tailor made to bridge the gap between the curricula of the different subjects in their home country and the Singapore syllabus. International students who desire to prepare for the GCE ‘A’ Level examination can join this course which is especially tailor made to bridge the gap between the curricula of the different subjects in their home country and the Singapore syllabus.

Core Course

General Paper H1

1.write an expository essay of around 450 to 600 words;

2.read and comprehend a text and answer the questions that follow; and

3.develop their critical thinking skills.

Mathematics H2

1.understand the main mathematical concepts taught;

2.develop the ability to apply skills to problem solving;

3.read and interpret graphs and other mathematical notation.

Physics H2

1.use the laws of Physics to comprehend and solve complex problems;

2.develop process skills necessary in applied science;

3.develop critical thinking skills necessary for problem solving.

Chemistry H2

1.develop abilities and skills that are relevant to the study and practice of science;

2.develop accuracy and precision, objectivity, integrity, enquiry, initiative, insight;

3.stimulate interest in, and care for, the environment;

4.promote an awareness that the study and practice of science are co-operative; and

cumulative activities, and are subject to social, economic, technological, ethical and cultural influences.

Academic Requirement

Minimum 10 years o·

English Requirement:

Pass BCI English placement test or equivalent

Age requirements

Student must be at least 18 years old
as at ist January of the year of the final examination.

Student must be at least 15 years old
as at ist January of the year of the final examination.

Course Schedule

Course Mode and Schedule

Full time

Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 11.30 am and 12:30 pm – 13:30 pm) 6 contact hours per day

Saturday supplementary class – (9.30 am – 12.30 pm) 3 hours

Total: 30 contact hours per week (excluding supplementary class and tutorials)
